Comfy aims to get rid of the fluff that can clog up Discord’s standard UI and make better use of its edges. You’ll learn this pretty quick when you flip it on and discover that the lower-left module where your personal functions live (mute, deafen, settings, and status) have been separated and moved. Settings now live in the lower left of the sidebar while your status can be accessed by clicking your profile picture next to the text box. It takes a bit to get used to, but it does look clean. Speaking of profile pictures, Comfy changes them to rounded squares instead of circles, an objective improvement.

My only gripe is the theme’s default «feature» that disables scrollbars in text channels. I like scrollbars! There are a few lines of code high up in the theme’s edit menu that you can supposedly delete to restore scrollbars, but that didn’t work when I tried it.

How to uninstall Better Discord

There is no direct option to uninstall Better Discord once you have installed it. Better discord is an extension to Discord and not something that Discord client directly offers.

Choose from Method 1, 2, or 3 to uninstall Better Discord easily without any need for prior computer knowledge. We have written a step by step guide which will help you smoothly remove Better discord from your system.

Note: Method 1 works only for Windows operating system. If you use a Mac system, then directly go to either Method 2 or Method 3.

As mentioned above, Better Discord is like an extension that we can install into Discord Application. It is a .exe file that will sit inside the Discord Application folder. To uninstall Better Discord, we will have to remove this .exe file from the Discord Application folder. Follow the below steps to uninstall Better Discord:

1.Click This PC on your Windows machine.

2. Search for “%localappdata%\Discord\app-0.0.305\resources” in the search bar at the top of the file explorer. You will see all the files, as shown in the below image.

3. The app folder contains all the Better Discord configurations. To confirm this, double click the app folder. Within the app folder, you will be able to see the files, as shown in the image below.

4. Come back to the resources folder, right-click on the app folder, and select Delete to uninstall Better Discord.

5. Deleting the app folder will remove Better Discord from the Discord chat application.

Alternatively you could also perform below steps:

Press “Windows” + “R”. The Run window will open up.

1.In the text box type: “%localappdata%\Discord\app-0.0.305\resources“. You will be navigated to the App folder.

2. Right-click on the app folder and select delete. This will remove better discord from your windows system.

In method two, we will download the Discord .exe file from their official site and start the installation process again without uninstalling the Discord app. Follow the below steps carefully:

  1. Navigate to Download Discord. Click on “Download for Mac” or “Download for Windows” depending on your operating system.
  2. The .exe file will get downloaded and is saved under the Downloads folder.
  3. Double click on the downloaded file ( Discord Setup ) to begin the installation process.
  4. Go through the standard installation process. This will replace the Discord app already present on your system with a fresh installation. It will also uninstall Better Discord in the process.

Uninstall and Re-Install Discord ( macOS or Windows ) – Method 3

If you are not able to delete discord with the above method, then an alternative would be to uninstall the Discord application and re-install it. Uninstalling the application will remove the Bandage BD ( better discord ) from the Discord application folder.

Follow below steps to uninstall and re-install Discord on Mac Operating System

1.Click on the Finder icon present on the bottom panel.

2. Click on Applications.

3. Right-click the Discord Application and then select Move to Trash.

4. This will uninstall Discord from your Mac system.

5. After uninstallation is successful, navigate to Download Discord and click on Download for Mac.

6. This will re-install the application without Better Discord.

Follow below steps to uninstall and re-install Discord on Windows Operating System

  1. Press “Windows.” Search for Control Panel.
  2. Click on Programs and Features.
  3. Select Discord. Right-click and click on uninstall.
  4. The above steps will remove discord along with better discord from your system.
  5. After the uninstallation is successful, navigate to Download Discord and click on Download for Windows.
