Features and Options

TP-Link extenders come in a variety of configurations and speeds. Note that no matter how fast or powerful your extender may be, it can’t outperform your base Internet connectivity. That is, if you have an extender that can handle speeds of 800 MBps, but your Internet service itself is only delivering 100 MBps, then your home WiFi network is going to be running at 100 MBps, no more than that. So there is no need to purchase an extender that provides more bandwidth than you currently have, or plan to acquire.

One nice feature to have in an extender is a built-in wired Ethernet port. This means that at the physical location of the extender, you can connect the wired Internet to any nearby devices. This can be very handy if you have desktop computers or game consoles that need a physical rather than a WiFi connection. Another useful feature found in many TP-Link devices is a beamformer, which is a physically configurable antenna that you can point in the direction of the device(s) that will be using the extender to connect. This can increase range somewhat and can dramatically enhance Internet performance at that device, albeit at the cost of slightly reduced effectiveness of the extender in the areas not being beamformed. Beamform-equipped extenders often have multiple beamformers, however, allowing an optimized Internet connection for multiple devices at once.

Another useful feature is the ability to use the range extender as an access point instead. Many TP-Link extenders have this feature. This means that rather than extending the range of your existing wireless network, you can plug the range extender into an existing wired network, and it will become a WiFi hotspot for nearby devices. This is very handy for businesses especially, which often have extensive wired networks already put in place (usually at great expense) years ago – now that wired network can become the spine of a wireless system without having to put extenders everywhere in the building – only in the spots that need WiFi coverage.

Regardless of the features and options you choose, you will need to connect and configure your TP-Link extender to get it working. In the next section, I’ll talk about how to do that.

TP-Link Extender installation instructions

To Setup Using The Web Browser:

Plug in the TP-Link Extender to the power outlet and turn it on.
Unplug any ethernet cord connected to your computer.
Tap the Wi-Fi icon on the taskbar and connect it to the extender’s network (TP-Link- Extender -2.4Ghz -5Ghz).
Launch any web browser of your choice and enter http://tplinkrepeater.net or http://192.168.0.254 on the address bar.
When prompted to type the username and password, create your password for future use and then click the Start option on TP Link wifi extender login.
Choose your router’s 2.4Ghz network and 5Ghz network and enter its password.
Verify the wireless settings and then click the Save button.
For better connectivity, move your extender between the router and the Wi-Fi dead zone area.
Check whether the LED light has turned to a solid blue color. If it has, you are all set to use the TP-Link Extender.

To Setup using WPS button:

he WPS button method is the easiest way to extend your host network.
ou can use this button only if the host router has a WPS button.
lug in your TP-Link Extender to the electrical outlet and then power it on.
ap the WPS button on the router and push the WPS button on the TP-Link extender within two minutes.
f you are connecting the extender to the dual-band router but only the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz LED is On, then repeat the fourth step.

How do I update the TP-Link repeater’s firmware?

To update the firmware on your tplink repeater, you must be connected to the repeater’s wifi network. Since the device or computer is wirelessly attached to the repeaters, consider signing into the repeaters’ homepage by typing www.tplinkrepeater.net and 192.168.0.254 into the address bar of your browser.

To update the firmware, navigate to Settings>System Tools>Administrative Settings>Firmware Update.
Select the firmware update option.
Download the most recent version of the tplink repeater firmware from the tplink website.
Double-click the file after it has been uploaded to update.
Please do not disconnect the repeater from power when it is in the firmware update process.
Wait 5 minutes; the tplink repeater will reboot once, and the firmware will be upgraded to the new version installed.

How to use the WPS Button to attach the repeater?

Locate and click the WPS button for the first time; then, within two minutes, press WPS on the tplink repeater and wait a minute. If contact is effective, the tplink repeater’s LED light will turn strong.

Alternatively, consider resetting the tplink repeater.

TP-Link RE300AC1200 Extender setup via web domain

Firstly need to unbox TP-Link RE300 Range extender.
Now attach the antennas with extender and set the extender in the right direction.
Ensure the internet signals, in case the signals are not steady then try to stable it.
Further connect modem, PC and extender with the Ethernet port.
Then from your connected device and open any web browser, in the address bar type www.tplinkrepeater.net or 192.168.0.254 and click enter.
Moreover you will see the login page here enter the credentials username and password as admin.
Then select your country, time and the language on setup wizard.
Here it will automatically scan your available list of Wi-Fi in your area.
Among that list select your main Wi-Fi and enter the password.
Setup for TP-Link extender is successfully done.

TP-Link RE300AC1200 Extender setup via WPS

Firstly unbox the TP-Link RE300 extender.
Then attach the antennas with extender and place it close to router.
Now check your internet signals, in case you find it not steady then fix it.
Hereplug your extender to power socket.
Now check power on both the extender and router.
Further press and hold the WPS button on the extender and in the same time within two minutes press and hold on router also.
Moreover it will start catching the settings and the LED also starts blinking.
Lastly your TP-LinkAC1600 extender is successfully setup.

TP-Link RE300 AC1200 Extender setup via Tether App

Firstly unbox the TP-Link RE300extender.
Ensure to plug in your extender and check the LED on extender is on.
Now from your connected device open any play store and search Tether app and download it.
Then open the Tether App and enter all the details of extender.
Further you will find a QR code on the extender scan it.
Moreover it will start catching the settings.
Finally the extender is setup and ready to boost your network.

Причины, по которым не получается зайти в настройки

Вариантов, из-за которых не получается зайти, множество: от невнимательности до аппаратных проблем.

Причины можно поделить на три группы:

Нет доступа к странице.
Нет доступа к настройкам (к странице сеть).
Не подходят данные для входа.

Ниже они разобраны более детально, с рекомендациями по решению.

Не открывается страница

Первое, что нужно проверить, правильно ли подключено устройство. В случае отдельного девайса к нему должно быть подключено три кабеля:

Электричество — в специальный разъём.
В голубом порту провод – соединение с сетями, который предоставляют интернет-провайдеры;
В жёлтом — соединение с компьютером пользователя.

На компьютере желательно отключить все другие соединения, в случае ноутбука — выключить Wi-Fi, если с девайсом проводное соединение, или выключить проводное, если соединение по Wi-Fi. В случае соединения со смартфона отключить мобильный интернет (название функции зависит от устройства), оставив только Wi-Fi.

Открыв новую вкладку/страницу, можно попробовать ввести IP адрес 192.168.0.1 или 192.168.1.1. Если он открывается, значит, у пользователя другое устройство и для входа в его настройки нужно применять другие данные.

Как и в случае роутеров TP-Link, ввод имени по аналогии с названием бренда. Несмотря на то, что бренд имеет дефис, в названии адрес вводится одним словом, и через точку – значение доменной зоны. Все остальные символы браузер подставит сам.

Страница открывается, но доступа к настройкам нет

При работе с компьютера такая ситуация может возникнуть из-за неправильных настроек сетевой карты. Если в полях получения адреса и DNS сервера стоят какие-то значения, их нужно сохранить на бумагу, после чего сделать сброс настроек сети на получение IP-адреса автоматически.

Если есть другой браузер, нужно попробовать войти с него. Иногда какие-то специальные настройки делаются не в свойствах сетевой карты, а самой программы (например, прокси-сервер).

Когда один компьютер выполняет роль домашнего маршрутизатора, в его настройках прописывается сетевой адрес. Новый модем может иметь тот же адрес, в результате чего в сети возникнет конфликт адресов и войти в настройки будет невозможно.

Логин или пароль не подходят

Третий вариант — всё подключено правильно, страница открылась, но весело сообщила, что admin в виде логина или пароля ей не нравится.

Тут нужно уточнить, что новые девайсы бренда просто не имеют данных для входа.

Их создаёт сам пользователь при первоначальном подключении. Если проблема именно в этом, придумывается пароль и имя для входа (рекомендуется и то, и другое не менее 8 символов), после подтверждения страница админки перезапускается. В дальнейшем модем уже будет предлагать ввести именно эти данные, придуманные при первом входе.

Если же это не первый вход и логин или пароль были изменены ранее, то совет один. Нужно сносить все параметры — возвращать заводские значения. Tp-Link считает, что модемы настраивать значительно проще, поэтому никаких решений быстрых настроек сети он не предлагает.

tplinkrepeater.net и tplinkextender.net – пароль admin, вход в настройки репитера

Адреса tplinkrepeater.net и tplinkextender.net используются для входа в настройки усилителей Wi-Fi сигнала от компании TP-Link. Они же повторители Wi-Fi сигнала, или репитеры. Задача этих устройств подключатся к беспроводной сети маршрутизатора и усиливать ее сигнал. Думаю, вы это уже знаете.

Если вы зашли на эту страницу, то скорее всего вам нужно зайти в панель управления своего репитера. Но вы не знаете, как это сделать, или знаете, но не получается. У этих устройств, как и у роутеров есть свой web-интерфейс. Настроек там не много, но он есть. Вообще, Wi-Fi усилители сделаны таким образом, что настроить их можно вообще без входа в панель управлении. Достаточно нажать на кнопку на самом усилителе и кнопку WPS на роутере. Можете посмотреть на примере настройки TP-Link AC750 RE210. Но в настройках можно выполнить установку устройства (если по WPS не получается, или нет возможности)
, сменить настройки Wi-Fi, перенастроить репитер, посмотреть список клиентов, отключить индикаторы и т. д.

Адрес tplinkextender.net, или tplinkrepeater.net вы скорее всего посмотрели на наклейке, на самом усилителе. Если нет, то можете взглянуть на нее. Шрифт там очень мелкий, но разглядеть можно. Там же указан заводской логин (username)
: admin, и заводской пароль (password)
: тоже admin.

Логин и пароль нужно указать в окне авторизации при входе в настройки репитера TP-Link. Не редко бывают ситуации, когда не заходит в настройки, не открывается страница и не появляется окно авторизации. С этими проблемами мы так же постараемся разобраться в этой статье.

Сейчас мы подробно рассмотрим процесс доступа к настройкам по адресу tplinkrepeater.net (такой адрес указан на моем AC750 RE210)
, или tplinkextender.net. Эта инструкция подойдет для всех повторителей от TP-Link: RE210, RE200, TL-WA860RE, TL-WA850RE, TL-WA854RE, TL-WA750RE, TL-WA830RE, TL-WA730RE.

Tp Link Extender Configurar de la forma más Fácil

Antes de entrar en los detalles de esta guía y explicar cómo configurar el TP Link extender, debe saber que el procedimiento de configuración inicial es casi el mismo independientemente del modelo de extensor Tp link que haya comprado.

En este tutorial, voy a tomar como referencia el extensor TP Link TL-WA855RE, pero como hemos dicho es análogo al TL-WA854RE, TL-WA855RE, RE305, RE450,RE205, RE190, WA850RE …..

Así que si te preguntas cómo configurar el extensor TP Link, primero toma el dispositivo en cuestión y lo enchufa a una toma de corriente.

Para garantizar una cobertura óptima de la señal, recomiendo colocar el dispositivo en un punto a medio camino entre el router y el área de la casa que se va a cubrir con la señal de Wi-Fi (para que la señal llegue con suficiente fuerza al extensor, y luego se repita en otras áreas de la casa).

En cuanto se estabilicen las luces indicadoras de la parte delantera del extensor, estará listo para iniciar la primera configuración del dispositivo.

Update Firmware TP-Link

После настройки 192.168.1.1 пароль маршрутизатора tp link можно изменить, выполнив следующие простые действия.

В общем виде процесс настройки роутера этой модели, если его веб-интерфейс на русском языке, через смартфон или планшет выглядит следующим образом:

Подключить мобильник к интернету и зайти в браузер, установленный на нём. В адресную строку вбить IP-адрес роутера, который указан на его обратной стороне. В окне авторизации ввести «Логин» и «Пароль» для входа в веб-интерфейс. Переключиться на раздел «Быстрая настройка» и в отобразившемся меню тапнуть по «Далее». В следующем окошке указать страну, город, тип подключения, а также выбрать компанию-поставщика интернета. Эти поля можно не заполнять, а поставить галочку напротив строчки «Я не нашёл подходящих настроек»

После нажатия по кнопке «Далее» отобразится меню, где важно правильно указать тип подключения. Такая информация предоставляется провайдером

Если привязка по MAC-адресу не задана, то надо указать вариант «Нет, я не подключен к главному компьютеру». В данной ситуации актуален именно этот вариант, т. к. маршрутизатор действительно не синхронизирован с ПК. Перейти к настройке Wi-Fi. Для этого необходимо ещё раз развернуть вкладку «Быстрая настройка», а затем выбрать подпункт «Беспроводной режим». В следующем окошке потребуется задать имя для точки доступа, выбрать тип защиты, придумать пароль для подключения и указать смешанный режим вещания. После того как нужные строки будут заполнены, останется кликнуть по кнопке «Далее».

Быстрая настройка на роутерах TP-Link

Если маршрутизатор не раздаёт интернет после проделанных выше манипуляций, придётся перезагрузить устройство. Процедура перезапуска передатчика через меню его настроек выполняется по алгоритму:

щёлкнуть по разделу «Быстрая настройка»;
переключиться на подпункт «Сеть»;
ознакомиться с информацией в центральной части окна и тапнуть по кнопке «Дополнительно»;
в следующем окне нажать на «Перезагрузка».

После этого роутер начнёт перезапускаться, а на экране телефона появится соответствующий индикатор.

Через мобильный телефон также можно управлять телевизором, принтером и другими приборами в квартире. Например, через инфракрасный порт.

Таким образом, настройка Wi-Fi роутер TP-Link через телефон на OC Android или iOS осуществляется просто. Порядок действий будет таким же, что и на компьютере. Главное, соблюдать некоторые рекомендации, описанные выше, придерживаться чёткого алгоритма настройки.

Finally your TP-Link extender is successfully setup.

TP-Link RE220 AC750 Range Extender

TP-Link RE220 Range extender setup via Tether App

Firstly you need to unbox TL-WA860RE extender.
Now place at right place and close to router.
Then check your signal, if any issue fix it.
Make sure to plug in your extender and check the LED on extender is on.
Then from your connected device open any play store and search Tether app and download it.
Further you will find a QR code on the extender scan it.
Then it will start catching the settings.
Finally the extender is setup and ready to boost your network.

Login to TP-Link RE220 Range Extender

Firstly from your device open any web browser and type www.tplinkkrepeater.net or 192.168.0.254 in the address bar and click enter.
Then login page will appears and here enter username and password as admin.
Finally you can access the settings of the extender.

Setup TP-Link RE220 Range Extender as Access Point Mode

First from your connected device open any web browser and in the address bar enter www.tplinkrepeater.net or 198.168.0.254.
Then you the login page will display here enter the username and password as admin and click to login.
After that click on Advance setting<wireless settings.
Then go to admin.
Now search the mode access point and click on it.
Finally you are successfully enabled Access point mode.
Now extender is used as Access Point.

TP-Link RE220 Range Extender Firmware update

Firstly from your device open any web browser and in the address bar enter www.tplinkrepeater.net or 192.168.0.254.
Then the log in page will display, here enter the username and password as admin.
Now click to advanced settings> firmware update.
Lastly you can now utilize the updated firmware update.

TP-Link RE220 Range Extender Hard Reset

Change your IP address of TP-Link Wireless router

To change your IP address of TP-Link Wireless router, follow the beneath steps:

Step 1: Firstly from your device launch any web browser and in the address bar enter the IP address 192.168.0.1 of router.

Step 2: Then you will see the log in page.

Step 3: Here enter the username and password default admin and password is blank (nothing).

En palabras sencillas, si pones un router en medio de un campo deberías obtener una señal wifi fuerte en un radio de 90 metros.

Pero dentro de tu casa, tienes paredes, puertas, muebles, etc. y absorben ondas que reducen drásticamente su energía a la mitad.

Es por eso que la velocidad de tu wifi varía dentro de tu propia casa.

Así que para resolver este problema, se necesita el TP-Link Extender. Básicamente amplifica tu conexión Wifi al mismo ancho de banda que antes.

Lo que en última instancia aumenta su alcance y obtienes una fuerte conexión Wifi en toda la casa.

Maximizar el rango de la red
